the dawg is spitting and sputtering like ive never seen. I changed the fuel filter because it wouldnt run for more than 5 solid minutes b4 it would shut down. After fuel filter was replaced it will hold an idle but it dies completely sometimes out of nowhere. The best way i have found to get it to run is to keep it around 3 grand and to let it backffeed into the carb as much as possible...seems that have thing vacum on the motor like that sort of cleans it up....i have no idea whats up with it

any ideas?!

fuel pump could be going out, could have a vaccum leak, carb could need rebuilding.....if it still has the stock exhaust, the convertor just off of the exhaust mani could be stopped up, but most likly it is one of the first three I said....

i think im leanin towards full pump also

I would say the carb needing rebuilt. My pump is going out and she will start and run fine, just leaks gas in the oil, then again, that's just what I was told was wrong.

in case its not that.... check your exhaust... could be plugged

my cat is already punched
and there is no muffler on it right now so breathin and getting the exhaust out i dont think is the problem..ive went over alot of these little things before thinking about the fuel pump...if anything my truck is breathing to good and does not have enough back pressure in the exhaust to run the way it should...but ive ran it this way since april of this year..im not to worried

ill fix w/e is wrong with it and get it parked for the winter and ready for a 302 or 350

or maybe just a rebuilt 4banger with a cam and carb
