yeh well obviously youve never rang dougnuts in a bug. there front end is super light and loves to float. so you wind it up in first while turning. rev the piss out of it and grab second and it will go right around. we still got a little tuning to do to get it to run perfect.
yeh just wait till we get some mud tires for the back. that thing is going to catch immortal hell. and as always there will be some videos to prove it.
I was just telling my dad about this and he started telling me that they had a baja bug with a fiberglass body they used to beat on out in the desert in california. He said he has pics im gonna try to find them.
hell yeh man. the fiberglass front ends are nice but this is a super budget project. and we plan on beatin the piss out of this thing so see no need in spending 450 bucks for one. and yeh post the pics up man. i can look at vw's all day and all night man.
Wish I could get a hold of some pics of my friends baja bug - would probably blow your mind! If you look under the bus out where the rims bolt up you will probably notice there is a gear reduction unit between the half shaft and the rim. My buddy put a bus trans and the gear reduction units on his bug. Lifted the back up 3-4 inches and allowed him to run bigger mudder tires. If I remember right the front axel tubes were also lowered a few inches. Definately a tall - bad ass bug!
