yeah just have to make sure you center the wheels with the lug nuts.

What are those rims?

IMO, I think its a personal preference thing... I personally strive for more insurance, so I'd bore out the wheels. But you'll still be okay as long as you have lugcentric lug nuts.

def use lug centric lug nuts.... ive been driving on eskies with ground down tabs for lil over 5 yrs now with no problems what so ever.....

has anybody bored their wheels themselves like the video on youtube

yeah thats why you measure 9 times before you cut anything....lol

me and a friend tried to cut one.....didnt do so hot. figured we had better grinding skills so the tabs went.

ok i got one wheel on tonight then it got dark on me but i did find a way to do it without grinding the tabs off or having your wheels bored out. what i done was put the wheel on until it hit the tabs then i took a marker and marked where the tabs where and with a router you just knock out where the tabs are, by doing this you can still use eskies or z71 wheels on a gm because part of the center bore is still at 3in and on the plus side you can run factory wheels with factory lug nuts. i didnt get a chance to take pics but i will take some tomorrow when the other three are done. and i will try to write a tech article if anybody wants me to.

sounds fine as long as the notches are evenly distributed and the wheel balances out.

i dont think im gonna have a problem with them balancing out since it is in the center of the wheel. it was my father in laws idea and he has never lead me wrong and he wouldnt do anything to put his grandkids in danger since they ride with me in the dawg. pus the notches are just big enough for the tabs to clear

sounds clever.....and alot easier that grinding the tabs. kudos to you my friend.
