Yeah. I just though of that. I wonder if the timing belt snaped. I will pull the upper cover and see.

good luck

Thanks...It wasn't the timing or the timing belt. Now I am leaning to the neutral saftey switch. This is kinda new to me as I have never owned an auto trans mini before. I think when I was working on the stereo, I knocked the switch out of alignment. My Haynes manual says it is on the pass side of the trans. I used the little shifter release lever to get the shifter out of the way, while I was working on the radio. I can't think of any other reason for it not to start.

Either that or I have a bigger mystery than I can handle. Does anyone know if you can buy one of those plug-in diagnostic computers for our trucks? This one is EFI and Auto trans. After I see that it has spark and fuel, my diagnosis abilities are shot....

I think theres a plug in the engine bay that you ground out and the check engine light will flash a certain number of times and tell you if there are any problems. Thats how it is with b2600i's anyway.

let us know what you come up with

if it turns over really fast and easy you have a problem. since u have ur timing cover off - first start by watching your belt when someone tries to start it.

Well, I worked on it some on Wednesday night...and no luck. I am still thinking it is the neutral safety switch. I think I am going to bypass it temporarily at the trans, with the truck on jack stands to see if I am right. The shifter has been flakey since I got the truck and I think maybe when I was workin' on the radio, I disconnected/ knocked somthing out of alignment. Anyone know of a plug in tester for these trucks? The timing belt seems to function. I think it is getting fuel, and the spark is good. IDK.....It sucks to drive by it every morning, all laid out on my driveway.

I know...I just seems like I am always behind this desk at work. Today I was here when the sun came up, and I haven't benn able to leave yet. Tomarrow I will get it working, or set it on fire, or both!
