Instead of find all the post were I have worked on my truck I have deiced to make one for all my future updates. So from the start
My truck when I got it home
It need a oil pump and some other small stuff I picked it up for 550 bucks it cost me 200 to get it on the road.
This is how it set for a long time.
I have not done much to the truck since I got it but I tired of it looking the way it did so I have finally done some work to it and this is just the start.
Next on my list is to pull the rear bumper weld in some patch panels to fill in the holes. Swap out my white wheels for my chrome ones. (white walls in) Maybe start on some body work, I have been working on my painting skills here is my first attempt at painting a fender.
those are just water beads from me washing the fender. Its a single stage paint that I got for a really good price. (wrong color mix do I got it discount)
Thats it so far will post more I as I go.

Bad news and good news at the same time. My Younger brother need a truck to move so my Mom asked if she could take him mine. I really did not wont to do it but the only other option was to let her pay for a Uhaul truck.
So I said yes so she drove it 30 miles to him gave him the truck. He kept it for 4 hours gave it back to her and she started the 30 mile drive home. Well she was 5 miles from the house and I get a call. Something was wrong and the truck had no power in 4th or 5th and it died on her and she could not get it to start back. I went out and I got it started to hear the awful noise of a rod knocking.
So now I have to rebuild my motor. Or do I If I can find a kia motor Im gone swap it out and go with a MS system. Its something I always wonted to do but did not have the money or reason to do it. Now I do I just wise it was not forced on me like this.

Na it was my brother my mom takes care of my cars cause she knows if hers goes down she will need to get my 97 Grand am which is our backup car. And her water pump just went out. He was most likely hot roding it like he did to my 89 Grand am 9 years ago. Bad part was Soon as I watched it drive off I had a gut feeling It would not come back the same way.

Sorry to hear about the truck. If you are interested in a motor I just found out that at our local pick n pull you can get a motor for $140 with a 30 day warranty. They have one decent looking 2.2 (actually they have two but I need one) They will more than likely get more in as well.

well I got my shop cleaned up and better will post pics of that later. Anyway I put the truck in and pulled the oil pan this is what I found.
Number 2 rod bearing shot to hell. I once had a rod go in a Buick and all I did was put a new one in I'm gone try this with my truck see how it goes. If it works great if not then Im gone just drop in a Kia motor with a MS2.

Wow, that sucks! I'm always amazed to see blown engine parts as it does'nt happen often.
Although, I'd like to look forward to seeing the KIA swap!
