slammed 84... thanks dude.. i thought of that already i have a second rad cap a t the highest point on the rad hose... but i just remembered im only using water .. no coolant.. so i bet thats half the issue.. also.. if a spark plug wire gets too hot will it fail.. untill it cools?

oh and sorry.. yes sir this body style was available in a rotary.. the tail lights are different ( more like corvette lights) and the back tailgate was stamped rotary.. and from what i have seen.. ( not sure if its true or not) but i have only seen the rotary in red and blue

andrew.. thanks for you input.. the rad is out of a chevy sprint with a electric fan.. the rad is the same legth as the stock one but 4 inches narrower to fit betwhe imputeen the frame rails.. ill check the rad flow out today.. thanks for t

bro, i don't know how i missed this but that is a freaking badass ride you got. i love the old school rides! and yours is badass!

as for your overheating problem, if that is in fat the problem and not a timing issue, if you run straight water it will run cooler, all the coolant will do is lubricate and protect against corrosion. but if you have a plug or plug wire acting up that could be your problem as well. meaning it could be a timing issue. timing does crazy things if it is off by a single notch. if your timing is good, plugs and wires are good, and you have flow in the radiator, i would change the thermostat. did you just rebuild the engine too? if not how many miles does it have?

and lastly, on another note, is this the same truck that i saw before that was yellow? i remember seeing an old school build a couple months ago like this but was yellow.

Um......NO!Those trucks are pretty rare.Even rarer in canada in that good of shape.
