updating my old b2000 (RODZDA)

i've got about a hundred excuses, but they all suck. here check out a few:


i sorta semi-retired, and lazy is nice

them dog gone wing windows threw a monkey wrench into my dash, now i think total dash re do

i want to get a 5 speed

if i would just take it to my shop it would get done

see, all crap excuses
it will get finished one of these days

I just wanted to hear from ya bob to make sure you're still kickin. Sucks about the idea of wanting to redo the dash because of the vent windows. I guess that's partially my fault. I bacteria a set of vent windows coming for my truck soon. Were they easy to install?

so ill ask again... are you chopping the wind shield down?

k. chop the windsheild: i'm gonna cut off the posts, at the top edge of the glass and see how it looks, no cut glass, nothing across the top. if i need to take some off the glass and more off the post to get the look right, there is a guy here local who will cut one for me, just have to see it.

mikey, the windows are pretty simple, brace mount bolts in perfect, maybe a bit more trimming than i thought, but not so bad.

my dash issue is not so bad, it only requires a 1/2' slash off the bottom on the corners

Hey Bob, still working on this fine ride? Figured I would say seein as I just stole one of your front coil over pics for another thread. Time for a couple of pics of your progress to date - kinda curious how the windshield is working out.

Man, I don't know how I've missed this thread up til now. Bob, you are the man. I love the "buy it, hell... I'll build it" attitude. It shows through. This build makes me miss my uncles, the ones that turned me on to bending wrenches. And, all there ways of getting things done before CNC's and 5 Axis' machines. Grinder, welder, torch, hammer, vise... what else do you need? Keep on keepin on, Bob!
