i just dropped in the b2600i motor in my 89mazda. i got the harness all pluged in and im not getting any spark to the coil. i had a friend come over with his mazda b2600i. i put my coil and igniter in his truck and it started. so i know their still good. tomorrow im going to put my computer in his truck and see if thats the problem. if not.... im stumped!
the only thing i havent done was swapped the rear half of thre harness that goes from the driver side kick pannel to the rear half of the truck. i know that the electric fuel pump is in the tank but i bought one that splices in the fuel line. it works great! so as of right now theirs still no spark! do you have any ideas or questions?

how come you swapped to the 2600i?
Im happy with mine, but I just thought there was more potential with the 2200 motors

did u swap the drive train and everything? im told the 2600 will not bolt to anything but a 2600 tranny?

okay so i figured out the spark concern. one of the connections on the wire harness wasnt all the way plugged in all the way. i now have spark. but it still doesnt run. the electric fuel pump that i spliced in doesnt have enough pressure. it was only pumping out 7 psi. and i need 28 to 37 psi.

why because my friend owed me 400 bucks. so he said i can swap my b2000 for his b2600i motor.
