Ok so I havent updated for a while so I figured id share a few pics. Im takin my truck in a different route for looks now. I started to swap bodies with an 87 b2600. Here are some pics.....
This is what I started with, a barely running b2600

and my half put together 89 b2200

I then yanked the 89 body off and tossed the cab on a trailer for spare parts

I then went about removing the motor and cab off the 87

After cutting the inner fenders out just so they wont touch, the body was set on the 89 bagged frame(firewall and inner fenders will be cleaned up when the b/d starts)

Thats all for the body for now, I need to get some wiring done. Im having an issue with the engine bay fuse block, this is the block that i left with the b2200

and these are the pigtales that connect to my engine

but these are the plugs in the b2600(notice the black plug is a single wire and mine on my b2200 is a double wire

The harness in my b2200 has the double wire also but I really dont want to go tearin that harness apart since its a mess anyways. What are my otions for hooking these 2 together???? Also I completely removed the ECU and passenger side harness except the wiper motor wires and Im going to clean up the driver side harness from all the un used plugs, are there any plugs you guys would recommend I keep just in case??

The green black is the starter i think and the solid black is for the back of the alt. I remember when i did mine they had the 2 plug with green black and the solid black. I dont have the truck here right now but when it gets back ill take a look. I moved the fuse block to the firewall on the drivers side. Or maybe the solid black went to the main power side of the starter then to the alt or they were tied together.

My main reason for swapping cabs is this blue truck has been passed around to 7 different people over the years locally. I dont want someone saying "hey I know that truck", I want to make it my own and just start over on things. swapping wasnt hard, its matching the different wiring harnesses together thats a bitch.

I was wondering about that cab swap but was having internet difficulty. if I wasnt a cab plus I would by the cab off ya. Thinking about them shaved doors though!!!
