Mark's 84 B2000 (in OZ)

I have shown a few pix along the way but we thought it's time to start a build thread on this truck..

Most of the work has already been done but there is still a few things mark wants to do to finish it off...

This is basically how it was when he picked it up.. we had only added the wheels and done a little body work at this point..




After this point we got serious and started stripping the truck to bits...

We replaced the whole front end with an earlier model B1800 78 model as the guards on this weren't to good and the bonnet was stuffed.. the sides of the the tub had more waves than bondi beach so we started straightening that out also..




In these pix the tub is still wavy but I assure you there has been a lot hours already put in them but still had many more to go..




In this pic we have removed the doors also !! I said to mark it will be easier this way but he thought he would be able to sand around the hinges and stuff without removing them !! after about 10min of trying that he removed the doors !!! LOL... We had also done some more of the tub and had painted the rims Red on the out side and black on the inside and had some whitewalls installed on them... we put them on just for a looksie.. we had also finished the roof and put it in primer..



In this pic we have the front guards and upper door/window frames finished in Matt Black.. As you can see we decided not to remove all dents as they tie in with the Rat-Rod look...

Theres a bit of the jump in pix here as we didn't get any while the cab was in primer but heres the cab complete paint wise and the completed doors rehung...





In this pic you can see that the rear wall and front pillars are also in Matt Black..



Here we have sat a guard on so we could see what it's going to look like, and are still working on the tub LOL...



Here you can also see the first coat of pacific blue hammer tone inside the tub..




Here we have the passenger side of the tub finished so we could resist sitting the front panels and wheels on to get another looksie..



Here the paint job is finished and most of the truck is back together.. theres no tail gate or front window but you can see some of the white dash.. I don't have any pix of the interior being done or once finished so I'll get some tomorrow and add them..



Here you can see more of the dash and also the white roof liner.. we've also wired in the dual headlights..



These are after the final assembly of the truck.. All the brakes have been replaced including master and slave cylinders, new windscreen installed, control arm bushes replaced, rear tail lights and side blinkers were all rubbed back with fine wet an dry sandpaper there clear coated.. The tailgate is finished and the final coat was done inside the tub.. The blue was also removed from the whitewalls and red with white writing number plates were added..









These are from today after we decided to flip the two top leaves over !!... looks choice I Reckon...







THIS WAS PAINTED INSIDE AND OUT WITH RATTLE CANS... LOL :O

I'll add some pix of the interior and stereo install hopefully tomorrow...

That looks pretty sweet. What are the rest of the plans for it?

His plans are to bag it and to also do a rotary conversion...

a 1st 1st gen b series, looks good. Those wheels actually look like they tuck fine, whats the dimensions on them?

The 20's are 20x7.5 with a 45 offset tires are 225x35x20..

thats a nice truck there...

Very nice man, I don't know how I ever missed this but I like it a lot. Any new updates on it?

Cheers man... Na, no real updates as of yet !! we've just been sorting a few teething problems like getting the radiator rebuilt, new lower shocks, etc...

Hopefully that will sort it out for now as he just wants to drive it reliably while he's saving for the rotary conversion... The motors a little tired but should last till then...
