The higher trim levels came with a speedo and tach, but that goes for ex cab and standard cab trucks. They will interchange no problem if thats what your wondering...

mine has the speedo and tach, was just wondering if someone else had done the switch before i got the truck

which is easier to swap/install in a b2200, a 350 or a 302? or should i consider another engine for my swap?

Its about the same for a 302 or a 350, if you want to go with a bolt in the fe3 will bolt up to the stock mounts, but youll have to add all the wiring for it too.

Its a pretty sweet engine swap from what I have seen. They come of a Kia Sportage.

So ive come across a FREE FE3 engine out of a 96 kia sportage the only problem is that it has low compression! its already pulled out and is complete except for the starter!!!! so i plan on going to get it either sat or sun, and once i get settled into my new house ill start to go through it and replace what needs to be replaced, any ideals on what will cause low compression in these engines?

Head gasket, valves, rings, etc. Easy way to locate is do a leak down test.

what is a leak down test and how do i do one, what tools do i need

So Im going to pick up a FE3 tomorrow like i said earlier it has low compression, so before i install it im gonna go through the whole engine and rebuild it all so basicly its a brand new engine going in my truck, will they bolt up to a 5 speed mazda tranny ?Also if anyone has a wiring harness from a Sportage let me know, wish me luck on my road trip tommorrow LOL
