Project Full Size Layin door

Sorry its not a mazda but its still custom, right?!! Its a 79 Chevy C 10 with a decently built 468ci Big block with a turbo 400 tranny. 2"X4" box tube frame from firewall back with a Porterbuilt Street Rods front crossmember kit and a heavy duty suicide doors triangulated 4 link and 9" C-notch. Rockers have been cut to 1/4" from door. Rockers are filled with 1'X2' box tubing and 3/16" plate welded to that for some late night dragging!! Truck will lay flat on 29" tall tires in front and 31" tall in back. Started the tranny tunnel today and got it mocked up around the motor and tranny then pulled them and here is what I got....





















I have all day tomorrow (thursday) to cut and fit as much as possible. Guess we will see tomorrow night when I post pics then. Until then.......

Well todays HONEY DO list took some time away from the truck but here is what I got....



MOVED THE BRAKE BOOSTER MOUNT TO THE RIGHT 3"



THEN MOCKED A PIECE OF 20ga SHEET TO SMOOTH THE FIREWALL



DRIVER SIDE ALL WELDED UP. STILL NEEDS SMOOTHING



CUT OUT THE LOWER FLOOR SECTION BETWEEN THE TWO BUCKET SEATS



MOCKED UP NEW RAISED FLOOR SECTION. MADE MORE ROOM FOR THE EXHAUST.



Thats it for now. Going camping friday through monday then back to work so no more welding for a week or so.
