my new project

Well this is my first import mini and I am super stoked about getting this thing on the ground. Ive had past bagged trucks. For the month and a half ive had this truck Ive gone through some great progress! Ive done all this myself other than having my buddies gargae to do it. I will let the pics speak for themselves.

the bed is now back on and the tailgate has been shaved shut. I shimmed the bed so it still lined up with the body lines. We raised the bed floor/bodydropped it 5 inches.

Good to see another build startin up. I gotta raise my box floor right away
and remember pics or it didnt happen!

this is the first I have seen it, and I cant wait to see more progress,
On our forum here, we dont have as many active members as ssm or maybe s10forums.com but we are very passionate about our trucks and our mazda community.
And we all seek to encourage each other, and to inspire.
I have had a build thread going for about 2 years now and I only have 5000 views, Its a step by step baggin and tuckin 20 inch wheels, and its being built to be able to drive slammed. Which you would think peeps would be more interested in.

We love pics, and to keep people coming back , encourage interest by letting us know your future plans etc.

good start on the truck its looking good. only question i have is why 5''s? oh and is that 2x3 that you made your notches out of?

yes 2x3x3/16 is what i made the notches out of. I wanted the fender wells to be flush to the top of the bed so 5 inches is what it took.

The bed is back on and I fabricated spacers to kep the bed lined up with the body. I have escalades for it just have been workin a lot the past week to get tires put on them
