my bad, didnt notice the skyline till now, rb25 is a great motor w/ tons of potential for gobs of power and reliability, plus u already have one. i'd stick w/ the straight six idea because i have never seen a mazda w/ a straight 6 in it.....would add to the wow factor on this build!
Thanks hunter I like it to I have had the skyline now for 1 year and wait till you see it when I am finshed with it I have another year before I have to have it on the road been hearing rumors that ontario is maybe going the way of quebec and putting a band on all right hand drive cars.
if you already own the car and its in your name then ya your good but lets say the dead line is dec 2010 and your car shows up jan 1 st your out of luck . In quebec they did it april 2009 so anything before april 2009 is good after that you can not have one registered and put on the road. You also can not sell it to anyone in quebec.
So anyways cut alot of the steel out of the front frame and started putting the cando arms in will have pics up tomorrow.
So did not work this weekend on her but I did measure the garage Baha its 35 deep and 50 feet wide.
will have pics up tomorrow think I should have the cando arms almost done and i think I am going to try and figure out for sure whick motor is going in the 350tpi or the skyline rb25 got to measure the rb25 and see if it will fit with little mods I tryed finding another mazda with on in it and all i have found was the sr20 motor done in one
So with all this I am thinking the only way that the skyline motor is going to fit and have everything installed as it is in the skyline I am going to have to move the fire wall back 7 inches which will not happen now i know I can run a electric fan and tuck the rad into the rad saddle bit its going to be danm tight and that will take me down to 3 to 4 inches back on the firewall. I know the 350 fits and fits nice and there is room but I really have to plan this out more if I am going to run the RB25 motor.
I have friend that sells enigines and other stuff from Japan and he has a half cut R33 the same as I have so wiring the truck will be no problem will use everything out of the half cut to get mine running and the new motor for the skyline will go right back in except for a few small changes which comes with the motor
