sup guys, well im a newbie on rangerscene. im already on the mazdabscene, well because i only own obout 3 of them, theyre bagged and bodydropped, well all but one is body dropped. but being the ford fan i am ive been looking into buying a ranger, ive got an 03 f-150 ive bagged but i love minitrucks and have been into them for many years. ive just got on question. the truck ive found is a 96 0r 97 ext. cab ranger, i cant remember, for 2300, has the 4.0 and is an auto. well i hate i beams, bagged more than a few of them, but ive got so many projects that i dont have much more cash to throw at it. is there anything other than buyin the i beams to get this thing layed out? cant i just notch the frame? i know the camber would be fucked but itd look cool layed out. i own distrubed creations in mobile so the work is not a problem. ive just never got to into laying the front out on a ranger, customers always just wanted to use the drop i beams and i kinda just want it to lay out ( im gonna run bags) until i cant get my hands on a newer front clip or get a yota clip, anyhelp? thanks in advance, sorry i took so long to get to the point.

you would have to notch your frame way too much to lay on factory beams I believe. Don't think you can notch the factory ones either because they are cast or something to that effect. Not completely sure. All the people I know who bag their beamed rangers, get drop beams and bag on those.

Maybe I'm way off, but I'm pretty sure.

thats what i was thinking too, wasnt it 98 when they went to a arms? if i needed to i can get a front clip from a yota. Ive also got a couple of 302s laying around i was going to shove off in it. i just love the way the rangers look, if i didnt find such a hell of a deal on this one id get a square body ranger, they tuck the hell out of the luggs

yeah the 98 and up have control arms and the egde models run torsoin bars with a fake ass 4x4 set up. i have never owned a truck with beams but have heard so many complaints from people i dont think i ever would! they look sick layd out though! over course the square bodies always look best imo. good luck! got any pics of the other trucks to share?

beams arent as bad as everybody makes them out to be. sure theyre not as easy as the other front set ups but still not so bad. you just need to figure out what size wheel you wanna run. under an 18 leave the beams over id suggest going to contril arms. 20s can bo done on beams but its easier and better to use control arms for that size.

oh about the f-150, has anyone used the kp komponets 6 link. i dont care for bolt ons and anything you can weld is stronger, but i use this truck ALOT and it cant be down long
