My temp hand, fuel hand, & Dash lights don't work, need help

Well I'm almost done getting the motor back in my baby & I'm trying to get all the little here & there's fixed and the only one I have left is this: The Fuel & Temperature gauges don't work nor do the dash lights, when I have the battery cables unhooked the fuel hand shows the right amount of as but as soon as I hook up the battery the hand goes right back down to empty. I think its a ground. Please help! Pics of the wiring for the gauge cluster might help. Thanks
