putting in a 87 b2200 engine in a 86 b2000

Whats wrong with the 2.0 block?

I have a 86 2.0 carb dawg. I also have a 91 2.2 FI dawg. Needless to say that the 2.2 is waaaaay faster. So i wanted to do a swap. I will be trying to find another donor truck for the project. My question is what would be easier, a full swap or just swap the carb set up for FI? And if a full swap would it still pass smog and what else would i need as far as electrical and fuel parts?

Can you swap the 2.2 in a b2000 witout ecm?

Yes. If it's a carb 2.2, then you just drop it in and hook everything up the same.
