my opinion is.... it wouldn't be a good idea. you already said you dont have the money...

do you already have the parts needed? it would involve a ton of fab work. do you have all the tools and fab skills needed to move the firewall back. rad in the core support. motor mounts. tranny x-member, tranny tunneling. rear end swap, stock one would never hold up to a big block (would more then likely need a heavier leaf set-up or 4link). would need to have a custom drive shaft made, the list goes on and on. are you ready to take on something like that?

and fyi cody... you wanted opinions..... your going to get neg and good. so deal with it or dont ask opinions....

Bingo, having money has nothing to do with this if you have patience. You could build a bad ass motor if you wanted to over time. My truck is finally getting show able after almost 6 years. My 83, is getting a 355 soon. Going to push right at 300+ hp. Will it ever hook off the line? no. But I'm not doing a swap to make it fast or to race. Just a mini truck with enough stomp to mess with the shit talkers.

Paparoach, at what point did I say DON'T DO IT. I asked why and if anything I said I would like to see one done for the fab work. I am not trying to start a fight here, but I do recall him asking for opinions and that is all I gave him. My opinion is just as valid as yours and I would ask why of the person with more money than brains that built the CRX too, but I still want to see it. That is why the custom car industry is what it is today. People build tons of cars I would never spend my time or money building, but I spend a ton of time looking at some of there finished products and cool fab work. I am in this because I enjoy it. I enjoy most of the different trucks on hear, I just don't think he would be putting his efforts into anything that would return a portion of them back to him. But then again I have built cars and trucks that lost me money too. So more power to anyone who has a goal and shoots for it. Just don't get your feelers hurt when others don't see why. -Ed

yea i got all the tools n such to do it, yea it was an IDEA ive been tossing around for a while. if it was more than i can handle at the moment i would put it off till later, no big deal just wanted to see what yall think about it. just wanted to know what it might take, no im not scared of tackling the task at all. just im a little stuck on cash with a ticket and a few bills i got to pay then i can get serious on what i wanna do, hell i might sell it who knows.

trust me i know how opinions are but people dont have to be dicks. i can take opinions4 that are negative and positive then use them to make up my mind on what i wanna do....
