350 Engine Swap Header question?

The best headers are the Sanderson headers. Hedman makes an identical set or there block huggers. The swept back ones get way to close to floor. I have used both on my Mazda 350, but by far the Sanderson are the best. You can run the full oil filter instead of shorty version, you can also easily remove it from above.

hmmm... I picked up the motor....got it for 60 bucks...lol....I will post up progress as I make it....Im just taking my time with stuff and trying to build up parts at the moment....So i can do everything in one big bang

do you have any clearance problems w/ that low alt mount?

the alt is about an 1/8 - 1/16" off the steering box. i can not get my finger in there. thats with a 26" belt, but i have a 25.5" that should get me about a half inch off the box. oh yeah, i had to remove the clip for the wiring, no room, have to plug in before mounting.

Now thats what you call tight to the steering. I see your manual steering are you going to go power steering or stay the way it is. I noticed the space you have between the motor and the rad where are you putting the fans.

Stick with the power steering like I did when I swapped. Not hard at all to convert over.

I've had more cars with manual steering than power, it only sucks when you're not moving, i like it.

The fan is a pusher on the front.

I would swap steering boxes with you if you were closer I am looking for power steering for mine the worst thing I had one and set it out side and when the guys came and took all the scrape steel they took it to the bastards. LOL
