are you using stock front suspension?

Everything is stock on the chassis for now. Except shaved handlles and tailgate.

Plans looking like to beat on the tires for the rest of the year then drop the drivetrain into a mid 80's s10

What kind of motor mounts did you use with the 302?

They were a gm style out a 60's falcon I believe, had a bolt through them.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to figure out what I can use. Trying to put a 302 into my 88' B2200. People say mustang motor mounts but I think the width of the frame mounts on the Mazda is wider than the 302 mounts.
