kia swap?

has anyone with a 5spd truck tried swapping kia motor and 5spd tranny?

The guys that do the kia swap usually stick with the factory truck trans. if they are using the sportage dohc 2.0. Using the sportage motor is the only kia swap that I've seen.

the only reason I ask Is because I found one locally in a junkyard an figured it would b easier to do the swap that way an use factory stuff...but I'm still undecided as for what swap I'm going to do

Granted this talks more about swapping into a miata, a lot of the information is the same as for the trucks, and they talk about using truck parts to complete the swap. This might be helpful...

I have a kia swapped mazda that I bought from madlowmazda on here. If you have any questions I'd be glad to help out with what I know. Mine has a custom intake, miata exhaust manifold and running megasquirt ecm. The base engine is a kia the rest of the electronics are ford parts
