Any one done a suby swap into their truck? You could even use the stock ecu since it was attached to a 5 spd. Or make your truck awd if you swap everything over.

What about the gm 3.8l supercharged motors? Out of grand prix, and some buicks? any luck with those?

Bump. Interested in the EJ swap or another 4 cylinder engine like a Honda K swap or Nissan SR20

The ej20 swap I think would be a huge mess. It's very wide, and the exhaust runs under the motor so modding the lca Xmember could be a pain. And the tranny on the ej20 sits hight and is mostly in the engine bay. Anything is possible though. A Honda k20 swap would be tits

After consideration, the suby wouldn't be able to use it's tranny. You'd have to use the mazda tranny. That might let it fit. The 2.0 and 2.2 are smaller width wise than the 2.5.

I've not worked much on the under side of the mazda, so can't say whether the suby would have issues there.

The 3800 s/c motors can produce over 300hp with the right compressor wheels and mods--might be a fun option, and you'd have that s/c whine to go with it.
