I have been kicking around the idea of rebuilding my engine
it barely runs now, and i need to get my bush truck out now that it's coming on spring !!!

my trans and everything else is good
what can i put into my truck that makes for a fairly easy swap ?
even if it means going back to my old engine later (I had hoped to rebuild it)
would love something that will bolt right to this trans, but maybe something with a trans that is also a fairly easy swap ?

i know the simplest would be to just put in another 2600 engine, anyone close to me have one ??
but if someone can suggest another swap, i'm all ears !!

How easily would a 22R fit in there ?

If ur gonna go to the trouble of a swap atleast put something in thats worth swapping...

haha
fair enough
they don't have a lot of power, but they are tough

Really, i want something that is fairly common so parts are easy to find
and something that will be fairly easy to put in

Sbc 350...

thank you
i will look and see what i can find regarding that engine
how much do i need to do to the truck to fit that Chevy engine in ?
i assume new mounts, will it bolt to my tranny ?

A kia swap. I think the kia sportage motor out of a 95-99 bolts to our motor mounts and our trans... haven't really done a swap just read some stuff. That and I've heard a rx7 motor and I think the rx7 bell housing bolts to our trans far as that rebuild. I just rebuilt mine and bored it found a place on line I think it was clegg engine and machine got pistons, rings, rod bearings, main bearings, freeze plugs and thrust washers and a complete gasket set for 220 shipped

Kia motor is only a direct fit to b2000/2200, the b2600 has a different bell housing.
The je v6 from the MPV and 929 will bolt up to the b2600, though can't remember of the top of my head if the bell housing is needed. Rx7, 929 and b2600 as well as MPV share the same series of transmissions, so that's your best bet for simple swaps.
Any engine conversion will require a fair bit of work.
Otherwise turbo or supercharging the standard engine when you rebuild it is always an attractive power upgrade option.

Im always for a rotary swap!

12a with sidedrafts would be easy and relatively cheap

that's a good start
thanks guys
I will start looking for something from those vehicles

so the JE V6 ? which years ?
and an RX7 ? does the rotary just bolt right in too ? what years ?
and obviously the G6 in my truck will bolt right in, which years of that engine ?

thanks for all the info so far !
