1982 B2200 diesel swap to 1989

I fournd a 1982 B2200 Diesel (an S2) complete truck for $500. It is not running but the truck is complete and could be restored with some effort or used for parts. Anyway, I have a 1989 B2200 with a gas engine, that I would like to drop this diesel engine into it. However, I have searched alot trying to find out if the diesel engine from the 82' will fit into my 1989 gas model B2200. Can't find a definitive answer anywhere. Before I buy this truck, does anybody know if it will fit?

mounts and accessories will not bolt up to the 89. The gearbox of the transmission will, but you will need to swap bell housings to use the 2nd gen transmission (you want to for the speedometer driveshaft and transmission mounts to be the same.)
