probe motor swap possible

Was curious as to if a probe gt2.2 would mate with the b swries tranny or would i need a bellhousing swap as well? I know they are a fwd vehicle would this be a factor at all? Thanks for any help. Found a wrecked probe gt locally and considering doing a full motor swap instead of just manifolds etc to turbo the b.

It is the same block, different pistons though to accommodate 12 valves. The distributor won't clear the firewall, and you will need to 'flip' the intake. Transmission will fit no problem.

Thanks, will go look that up later on. And it'd be possible to bypass the distributor with a msd ignition wouldnt it?
