I have a 1993 B2600i 4x4 automatic and found a rebuilt motor for it that came out of a 1989 Mazda B2600i. I dont know if the rebuilt motor had a standard or automatic transmission. My question is whether a 2wd 1989 motor would bolt up to a 1993 4x4 or if a motor with a manual transmission would bolt up to a automatic transmission? Thanks in advance.
Yes, it will bolt up just fine. Keep in mind, some things that are not compatible with your 93.
For instance, the distributor on the 89 is vacuum advance, and your 93 is full electronic. Just swap it over and run it.
