fixin to start a GRM challenge build with an 83 b2000. truck has a blown engine, and a five speed. I know the truck (it was my best friends for the last 20 years) so I know what we are starting with is a stone stock example.
that means I have the f/ma to start with.
in doing some research, it seems that the kia fe3 is the best option for this, though the bellhousing pattern is different. apparently the 88-93 b2000 trans will bolt up and is a direct swap as well.
is this info right?
any inexpensive and almost bolt in options im missing? goal is stone ax reliable, decent fuel economy, minimal fab work, efi, CHEAP, and about 150 horsepower.
