were is the pcv valve located on pre 85 im losin a little oil so i figure i need to go ahead and change the pcv valve. I looked around the valve cover and really never found it. But i think its in a hose underneath the carb. could some one tell me if i am correct?

There's a hose that comes from the valve cover on the front that goes into the side of the carb/intake manifold. It's usually big and white.

Marked with the arrow

whats that metal cup thing in front of your arrow man?? mine has a clear hose in the bottom of it with a bit of motor oil running through it

The metal cup thing is an emission thing. Came on california trucks. That yellowish white thing is my PCV valve.
