Engine wiring harness

I have an 84 B2000 that needs to be rewired the previous owner put a 74 front clip on and started installing a 51 chevy dash so there's no heat,a/c,or radio in the truck. I have a perfect harness from a 74 will that work with the 84 model engine or do I need to find a harness from an 84? The truck also has a steering column from a 74.

i would think you will need the harness from the 84... but if your putting on a webber.. you can just wire the enigne your self. the 74 should be a 1.8 motor and the 84 should be a 2.0 motor. they are a bit different.

Well I found out that the previous owner dosen't really don't know what year the harness and front clip came off of its definitely not a 74, I know the front clip came off of a 77-81 model B2000 and Im almost positive the harness came from the same truck.

I found a complete wiring harness from an 83 will that work with my 84 or should I continue looking for a harness from an 84?
