It depends. Is it a manual or automatic trans?
I've heard of people do 2.2L carb swaps with ease, or 2.2L FI. I also have seen posts of people doing 2.2L FIT, but with a manual trans that takes some custom work on the pressure plate.
Is there any particular idea in mind? Power? Hauling? Off-roading? Cruising?
