battery light coming on & off ?

Just got a 83 b2000 this week, its got a new battery & alternater. The battery light is going on & off. I've checked the alt belt, battery cables, & connectin at the alt. Anybody got any ideas ?

One of the wires that is attached to the alt could be weak/damaged further upstream, causing the light to flicker on and off.

check to see if the alt is actually charging. If its not there should be a signal wire of some sort. I personally dont know how these trucks are wired. But alot of guys on here have the diagrams about memorized so someone should chime in.
