OK i want to say thx again for y'all for helping me with the clutch prob and others... if you haven't read look at the topics. i am having a concern about the gas on my truck. i put 10 dollars in my truck a few days ago.. and drove it back home.. the gas station is 2 mins from my house.. well after that i didn't drive it since then because i have to get the back brakes for my truck. anyway i woke up and my gas was gone... 10 dollars put my almost a quarter of a tank. i never drove it since i put gas in it.

Fearce - is the gas REALLY gone, like it has leaked out (you'd smell it), or is your gauge just reading empty?

The fuel sending units in these only last about 15 years it seems, but oftentimes can be fixed by cleaning the wresistance wire coil and bending the contact arm in a little for better contact. Do a Search on the fuel sending units (either here or on the other board), you can tilt the bed for access, easier than dropping the tank or removing or pushing the bed rearwards. I've posted my instructions there.

I've fixed my own sender once (the fix lasted a few years) but last december Mrs. Cusser got me a factory unit from Dan Atkins, a board sponsor.

Sure you don't have a gas thief lurking around?

I stole some gas from this Mazda that was getting his rear brakes done the other day. Weird right lol. Check your fuel lines also. If it was leaking while driving there wouldn't be any puddles.
