Like it says my lil truck is running like shit. I went for a drive tjos evening and when i was coming home it started to missfire and hesitate all of a sudden. I dont know what is causing it but t he truck is bone stock and ive only changed tje plug wires and oil thqts it so any help would be great. Also it seems only to be doing all this at speeds of like 60-70 and at rpm of like 3000-3500. As always thanks

could be that your carb is plugged up or that your timing ran away .

sorry, meant to say clogged up .

First thing I'd do would be to change the fuel filter (near firewall, passenger side, under the air cleaner on carbureted trucks) and make sure that the vacuum advance hose to the distributor from the carb is attached firmly at both ends.

sudden surge is usually fuel filter or plugs. pull the plugs, if there any carbon build up, or redish color to the metal or corroded metal or even cracks, change them, only cost about $2 each.

Okay so changed the plugs and no luck same ol issue, then I changed the filter still no luck and then I took a look at the filter and I had put it on backwards I didn't think these things went on a certain way but the truck has been driving great ever since. So thank all u guys for the posts and ideas.
