You shouldn't need to remove the water pump, but the bolt on the back of the engine might be fun.

I just replaced the water pump on my B2000 recently......I also replaced the coolant pipe with another one that was in better shape at the end where the O-ring fits on it.......they seem to rust there. Picked up a real good one at the JY the other day also!

Anyway, I was able to remove the 14mm bolt on the driver's side of the block where the coolant pipe has a bracket welded to it.......the 14mm bolt holds the coolant pipe to the engine block. Then I removed the 12mm bolt at the rear of the head that holds a strap that is wrapped around the coolant pipe and keeps it secured to the head........it's more toward the passenger side rear of the head. With the pipe now not secured to the engine block (I also removed the heater hose and the small rubber coolant hose from the metal coolant pipe) I was able to remove the hose by pulling it up and out from the rear.........you will have to wiggle it a little as you pull it towards the rear in order to pull it out of the water pump.

You can re-insert the pipe the same way you pulled it out also, just make sure you use a new O-ring and the hole in the water pump needs to be clean so it will slip into the water pump easily........I put Vaseline on the O-ring also to help it slide into the water pump.

that is an excellent picture showing it thank you man... also 2 things i want to ask... one how long will it take to install the pipe and 2 how to do a back flush because i belive my heater core is clogged. i seen this video but kinda dont understand.

Basically he has just connected a garden hose up to the heater core pipes that exit the cab.......forces water in one direction and then reverses it and forces water through the core from the other direction. Works best if you can use hot water though........and you kinda want to turn up the hose pressure only when running the water through the heater core in the reverse direction of what it normally flows.......

Here's a schematic of the flow directions on a B2000/B2200 trucks.....
