fuel trouble

If I had a bad mechanical fuel pump could it pump some gas into the block to may be where my gas is going to, when Im getting only 150 around town to a tank gas has to be going somewhere besides the carb Iv had wore out motors get better gas than that.

Yes, a bad mechanical fuel pump could leak into the case. Smell the dipstick, or unbolt the two fuel pump bolts and lift up and smell. Oil in the gas is also bad for the lubrication, so change that immediately if its got gas in it. Oil level might read high, too.
