I don't know what's going on!!!

Hi guys,

I have a crazy issue with my 87 b2000 that I can't figure out. I recently had to put in a new water pump, and since then the "B" hasn't been running properly. I thought i had the timing off, but i triple checked it last night and it's right as far I can tell.

Right now from a cold start it'll run for about 10 minutes and then the idle starts creeping up, which it did previously. Usually I'd tap the gas and the idle speed would slow to normal and all was well. Now when I tap the gas it slows down and then it eventually cuts off. Then it won't start again unless I hold down the gas.

I changed the fuel filter and ignition coil. I ran seafoam through the carb and put some in the fuel.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Make sure your timing is dead right and set the timing with the vacuum advance blocked off.

Ok. I didn't block off the vacuum. I'll try it tonight.

So I fixed the problem. It turns out that my idle screw was turned waayyy out. I've been driving it for4 or 5 days and no issues. Thank you all for your help.
