So, I have a 1989 Mazda B2200 Ec. Its a 5spd, its carb'd New(ish) fuel filter, runs perfectly fine, up until yesterday... I have plenty of power in any gear below 3,000rpms. Soon as like 2900-3000rpm It basically falls on its face. I lose almost all power. I can still accellerate but it misses like crazy, It doesnt buck or kick or backfire but it just misses. I can floor it in any gear below 3 grand and it runs perfect, In 5th at 40mph floor it runs fine accels fine until 2800-2900 r's and it falls on its face again, If I pussy foot my pedal it will still accel semi smoothly... Wtf is causing this? What are my options? My filter looks clean, I could always get a new one, My air cleaner is brand new like a week old. Oil is good, Plugs are about a year old but only have like maybe 1000 miles on em maybe. carb looks clean, Im stumped...
