front main seal

Is it normal for a front main seal to leak when it is cold out? It was just replaced about a year ago. Im thinking if it is cold out then the seal may have been hard. and allowed a little bit of oil to trickle past it. I'm pretty sure it was oil. I could be wrong it could have been some water droplets. it is oil.

Shouldnt leak even in the cold. but you could replace it. Super easy, under an hour job...
