Fuel Pump

Got a truck from a local guy a couple of months ago, it has been sitting a while. When I turned the key over to accessories you could hear the fuel pump kick on, and it was extremely loud. The truck would run a while but shut off after the fuel pump had a load on it...went to Auto Zone today and got another fuel pump and installed it...I can also hear it kick on, and sounded way smoother. I do not believe it is pumping fuel up front though, i took off the 2 fuel lines to see if anything was shooting out of them while I was turning it over and nothing, bad fuel pump?

did you check the fuel filter?

No, I am also picking up a new fuel filter tomorrow....I ran out of day light so i put the old fuel pump on and drove it back in the garage since the new pump wouldnt even move the truck.
