i just ordered a pacesetter header for the truck. so whats the thing i can do to make it last the longest? header wrap, high-heat paint, or anything else?

well the paint that comes on them is junk i have about 2 miles on mine and its almost gone doesnt bother me because im going to have it ceramic coated anyhow. (didnt buy the one pre done because i knew i had to modify it for the auto trans.) i would say have it coated if you can or at least sand or blast the junk paint of and put some good high temp paint on it. might last longer.

i say wrap it. its a quick, easy, and cheap fix.

bump, anybody else?

i had mine coated inside and out for $80. a pretty good price IMO. and looks better than header wrap. much less work for me also. that header wrap isn't cheap either

its not super expensive though. we sell a good sized roll of it at work for like $20.
