2.0/2.2 motor questions

Ok guys, Im not completely stupid here first off. Ok my buddy bought this 89 2200 for cheap. The thing is, the timing cover says 2.0, which is it? Are there any certain block numbers I could look for or anyhting? Will there be any kind of performance increase if I tack on a 2.2 head if this is a 2.0? Does anyone know how I can tell which weber carb is on this truck?


I know that this is alot of questions to be asking, I just want to know though. The reason Im asking on the weber, it looks like it needs to be rebuilt.

Psot pics of the carb without the air filter on it.......look on the block and see what fe# is stamped on it or pull the valve cover see if it has adjustable lifters or not

todd, which number would be on the block? I thought they both used the FE3 block?
