which motors fit?

Hello, im new here and trying to figure out on my 91b2200, what motors will fit in there for a replacement?? My head gasket is out and im kicking around maybe getting a newer motor? any idea what motors to look for? or what a fair priced upgrade might be?

any motor you want will fit...well not the big blocks..lol..you can do a down grade if you want to call it that and find a 2.0(b2000), or if you have time and a little money, you can do the kia swap..2.0dohc,or just go all out and put a v6 or v8 in it.........theres a thread on here for the v8s and the kia swaps..the 2.0 would be a bolt in motor

very cool mazda man 82! I would prob. be looking for a close to bolt in motor. I had a ranger with a 69 302 motor in it, and an astro with a 327v8 in it. This one i want to get a little better gas mileage. Setting up motor mounts for a different motor wouldnt be so bad tho, but i would prob. want to find a basic or common motor. I always thought a tbird supercharged motor would be fun too! Gotta check prices. I do want to keep the 5 speed tho

i had the kia swap in my truck..it uses the 2.0 or 2.2 motor mounts and the trans from these motors as well, i was getting good mpg out of it as well,something for you think about, little more power plus good on gas

huh, that might be pretty cool, i think i was reading somewere they are around 225hp motors? thats not bad! Especially if i can use my existing trans and motor mounts! might have to track one of those motors down! any idea what all models they came in? someone said they found one for $500. Thats very reasonable. putting on the nissan rims this week too.

mine was out of a 99 kia sportage..make sure you take the motor harness as well, you will need it..plus they can take up to 400hp safely on stock parts some have been known to run 600hp on stock parts...but you are looking for gas saver..lol...ill be doing the swap again on my next truck
