Engine help please!!

I started my car earlier today (the engine was still warm, i had been driving it about 10 minutes earlier) and when i put it in gear and gave it a small amount of gas, the engine started shaking violently. well, a lot. I looked at it and it was DEFINITELY not normal, it was way unbalanced.

When I drive it, as long as i get above 2500 rpms it feels better, but down between about 1000 and 2500 is when it is really noticeable. Also, it is sluggish, i have to give it noticeably more gas to get it to move. I'm thinking she's running on only 3 cylinders right now.

also, it is a '93 b2200, and if possible i like to do any work myself.

sounds like a miss to me. Make sure all of your plugs and wires are tight and firing properly. I would also check the distributor to make sure the bolt hasnt loosened allowing it to turn and come out of timing.

...i feel stupid. a spark plug wire was loose. All fixed, thanks!
