Hey guys, so my truck has some major power loss. recently it has gotten worse and has even died a few times while driving it. so ill be driving, and all of a sudden it will feel like the combustion is screwed up. like there is no combustion at all, it will feel like i lifted my foot off the gas completely when my foot hasn't even moved. so... i'm thinking the problem is that my mixture doesn't have enough fuel in it.

theory: I did my own fuel sending unit swap about 6 months ago or more. could be that I didn't hook something back up right, but it hasn't started acting up until about the last month and then the last two weeks were REALLY bad.

if its a bad mixture, it will likely be somewhere along the fuel lines, i'm going to take a look this weekend at the carb and the lines, possibly the sending unit if i feel like taking the tank back down. anything else I should check?

thanks

Does the truck still hace the catalytic converter in it? My truck kinda had the same power loss issues, turns out the cat was pluged.

yeah, if you hooked up the lines wrong back there then you would either be running out of fuel constantly, losing gas on the return, or that's about it. The lines there are all different sizes back there and hard to mix up. 2 other possibilities though, #1 is rust in the tank and #2 is a weak ignition coil/ignition control module.

Well when I replaced the sending unit the interior was immaculate, so probably no rust but ill look at the ign coil
