I have nitrous on my daily driver Dakota, 205000 miles on the clock. It is all about how you use it. I get about a 35hp increase from a dry shot in the end of the air filter, that with some cams and an intake I run 14.0 1/4's, prefect, then I dont have to wear a bucket, it messes up my mullet.
I just spray the nitrous, no additional fuel, but its on an injected motor, the o2 sensor catches the additional oxygen the nitrous creates and fattens up the fuel. If your planning on running a weber/carb, you will need to plumb both nitrous and fuel, the nitrous leans out the cylinder and creates higher pressure, = melted parts.
What happens most of the time when things are destroyed is from how easy you make more power. Change the jets, more power, just one more bigger, even better, okay, one more..... next thing you know, you have doubled the 80 horse that 2.2 makes, and it cant take it.
Do it, it's a total laugh. Try to stick to a reasonable shot, maybe 25, hell, that's just over a 30% increase.
