Hello all first time here first time post
Well i have a 87 b2200 i have been trying to adjust carberator for this problem but it is not helping. In ht morning i start it up warm it up a little it then go to work, well if i need gas and it doesnt warm up all the way when i get to the gas stating about 6 miles away i turn off the engine and a very large backfire happens. Does anyone have a solution for my problem? thank you very much in advanced

I would bet that your carb is out of adjustment or it is in limp mode (an overly rich condition) and your wetting the inside of the exhaust with unburnt gas and when you shut it down a spark sets off the gas in the exhaust.
There really are no adjustments to the stock carb......it is a feedback design and the ECU tells it what to do when it comes to the air/fuel ratio. I would get a good shop to look at it (they'll have the equipment to test the carb) or switch to a Weber carb.......you may only need a O2 sensor to get the carb out of limp mode, but I would let a shop look at it first I think.......or bypass it for the Weber.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!
