Weber 32/36dgev, fresh rebuild on motor.

Seems like every night after work if I mess w/ the Carb (following on line tuneung guides) get it running tits. Ill make the 10mi drive home w/ no issues. Turn it off for 2-3 hrs after I get home. Go back out to go lift and runs like shit again. Idol is clear down. (Smooth but waaaay lower than I set it) it will run good just idols like hell. ???????

Is the EGR blocked off with a plate you've made, or are you using the EGR valve there, and just have it unplugged?
If the EGR valve is there, I would pull it off and make a plate out of steel or aluminum.....needs to be pretty thick also.....and install a new (steel) gasket like it comes with stock.

Its blocked off w/ a stainless plate. Pretty thick.

Well last night after I had drove it the second time I turned the idle up before I shut it off for the night... start it this morning and a) high idle/choke didn't set with pedal and its idoling at 400rpm again. Runs shitty too. Wtf.

I think I'd re-do the gasket under the Weber carb, and use sealer there. I'm using a gasket I made from rubberized sheet gasket from O-Reillys, easy to cut with shop knife. I drilled the holes. I used Permatex Aviation as sealer (Ace or O'Reillys). I think I also did similar for the gasket under the upper adapter, and torqued that.

I did this late October with my Weber after having horrible idle after removing the carb for my engine work, and mine purrs like a pussy ever since, daily driver.

thas jus it... i just re did the adapter plates and all the gaskets... (bought the adapter plate kit from webercarbsdirect.com so i could get all new gaskets)

im almost wondering if im having a choke issue?

it runs like a tractor at idle, but i can take off just fine without so much as a hiccup. its just idle.

that and i have to manually set the choke by hand if i want it to idle up.. (hold top butterflys and cycle throttle) then it idles up fine.

i get no metallic "clink" upon first pressing gas peddal down in the morning. as described in choke setting instructions.
