My #4 plug is stuck in my head, I don't know know if its cross threaded or what, I just know its STUCK. Any suggestions on how to get it out?

well...if its cross threaded...you are already screwed(kinda)...other wise i would spray the crap out of it and let soak.

Its been soaking in pb blast and atf ( a trick I learned)

Let it soak and take a breaker bar and go very easy with it. Just a suggestion

Went through that recently. Here's the thread:

Problem solved, part of my issue was my socket. After a "modified" socket and alot of pb blaster it was still a little rough coming out, could deffanantly tell it was overheated.

Glad the plug came out OK. Use a little Never-Seize on the new plugs.

Others: Even a cross threaded or stripped out spark plug hole is no reason to dump the vehicle, or even take the head to a machine shop.

I've done one plug on my old VW with a solid threaded insert, has held fine for 6 years so far. The gold standard brand is called Time-Serts.

Any mechanic can readily install/repair this if you're too timid.

I've never heard of a plug insert, I have fixed a couple with a heli coil and there still running.

There's lots I haven't heard of. But those things exist too. Time-Sert, EZ Lok, etc. Even the Ace Hardware down the street from me has them in standard and metric.

In other words: get out more.
