Been reading Axel Breaker Earl's write-up on rebuilding headlight switches. My problem is the Intermittent Wiper Control is not working. Wipers work fine in low and high but no intermittent setting any longer. Is there a rebuild for this switch?

Unscrew it, remove it, and pop the cover off and clean the points just like the headlight switch. If it doesn't work after that, then the electronics in the switch are probably bad. You can replace just the switch and not the whole housing. I should have some if you end up needing one.

There is alittle more info and pics here on page 2 starting at post #15.

I have this same problem ever since I did a pass side wire tuck and cut the ground wire coming from the wiper motor I have low and high speed wipers but my intermittent wipers start to work and then stop about halfway up my windshield. Is there any relevance to that ground wire? I'll check out my switch too! Thanks for the Info,

Fred

I can tell you it's not the ground causing the intermittent to not work. Mine does the same as you described and I left the ground when I did my tuck. It must have been controlled by one of the other wires in the loom, but I kept all the ones in the plug when I repinned it.

It's probably your switch rockin... Looking at ABE and Scotch's posts will get you there.

There are 4 blue/x wires and one black wire needed to make the wipers work intermittently/properly. Make sure you have all four hooked up.

All four blue wires are connected. I even drew myself a diagram before removing the wires to make sure I wouldn't misplace any of the wires.

Check them for breaks or shorts... might be your multi-switch too.
