hey guys, not sure how many of you guys have emissions testing where you live, but i was wondering. i'm getting ready to register my Mini B, and i want to make sure she passes emissions. i've already done the cap and rotor, and plugs and wires. oil change. and such. lowered my idle. anything else i can do to help squeeze the Truck through? it hasn't failed. just wanna get in and out lol

New air cleaner element too. I'm in Arizona, and typically I've done what you have done on my old air-cooled VW, but I leaned out the carb and increased the idle to about 1100 rpm. I'm not saying that's what you should do, that's what I've done, as emissions at idle are typically dirtier than at load.

And I always made sure that the engine was fully warmed up before testing.

no that makes good sense. i did replace the air filter as well.

not sure what my idle is at. i don't have a Tach installed. lol

so lean out the carb, and raise the idle just a touch. awesome. getting the truck ready for its inspection, just wanna get through without any problems lol

Make sure your timing is right and cooling system is working correctly. Maybe a new Catalytic converter and service/clean your EGR valve.

Cool, I gotta do a thermostat and a radiator. And I'll double check timing. Thank you
